*Topic: Need for true judgement*
*Text: Leviticus 24:1-23๐Ÿ“–*
*๐Ÿ”‘Key Verse: Leviticus 24:23*
*And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.*

๐Ÿ‘‰When people interpret the passages of the Bible concerning the judgement of God, they tend to present it in a way to show that God is wicked and unforgiving because of judgements He introduced to enforce sanctity.

๐Ÿ‘‰And then it is the coming of His son that brought mercy, as if God is no longer merciful.
But in all our thinking, we must note that man can not be more merciful or righteous than God.

๐Ÿ‘‰People were asked how a nation would be without constitution, and below were their responses:

1. In the absence of a constitution it will be difficult for a country to sustain itself in a long run.
2.Justice will be denied to the people and a chaotic situation will prevail in the absence of law.
3. People will be deprived of their rights and the government will function according to its will without constraints.

๐Ÿ‘‰For the negative consequences of a lawless nation, as stated above, the Lord introduced judgement that will be meted out to those who disobey laws governing our society to ensure sanctity.

๐Ÿ‘‰If you check, you will know for sure that the scripture was the foundation upon which nations developed their constitution.

๐Ÿ‘‰Haven established this fact, in all your knowing, note that a life not governed by the commands of God is like a car without brake heading for destruction.

๐Ÿ‘‰God in several ways expressed His love for Israel, yet this did not stop Him from punishing them when they are guilty.

๐Ÿ‘‰So if you think the law ended with the coming of Jesus, then you need to advice the government to stop building prison or prosecuting murderers and their likes.

      *Ponder on these...*
*Isaiah 40:8*
*[8]The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.*

๐Ÿ‘ŒSame laws given by God shall be used to judge this world on the last day.

   *Prayer point...*๐Ÿ™‡‍♀๐Ÿ™‡‍♀
Grant us the grace to live rightly o Lord.
Circumcise our heart to always yearn for you.
Amen.

God spoke to Israel concerning a land they haven't even possessed. Can you imagine? ๐Ÿ‘‰We are familiar with the idea of Sabbaths of days, where the seventh is dedicated to God. But the case of Sabbatical year is not observed today due to some obvious circumstances. ๐Ÿ‘‰Nevertheless, the essence of this command reveals that every thing created by God deserves a rest. And at this rest period, He the creator, restores vital nutrients to the soil depleted by constant use. ๐Ÿ‘‰Now bringing the message home to us............ paraphrasing Leviticus 25:2 would read...........
