*Text: Leviticus 25:1-end*📖
*🔑Key verse: Leviticus 25:2*
*Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.*

👉Oftentimes when God instructs us on a thing to do, they seem difficult at a glance.
God spoke to Israel concerning a land they haven't even possessed. Can you imagine?

👉We are familiar with the idea of Sabbaths of days, where the seventh is dedicated to God.
But the case of Sabbatical year is not observed today due to some obvious circumstances.

👉Nevertheless, the essence of this command reveals that every thing created by God deserves a rest. And at this rest period, He the creator, restores vital nutrients to the soil depleted by constant use.

👉Now bringing the message home to us............
paraphrasing Leviticus 25:2 would read...........
When you get that possession you so much desire, do ensure you honour God with it.

👉I heard story of a woman who had difficulty in conceiving. She prayed and tried all the medical advice she received, all to no avail.

She was finally promised a child but the Lord demanded that the child would serve in His sanctuary. This the desperate woman conceded to. She conceived and gave birth to a son as promised but when it was time to keep her part of the contract with God, she breached the contract.

This is one prevalent sin amongst the children of God today.

👉Placing your possession above God is like inviting disaster because you will be displaced if you try. Remember the Israelites were sent into captivity for this *(2chronicles 36:20).*

👉When the land is allowed to rest according to the command of God, it has invariably honoured God.

      *Ponder on these...*
👌The essence of every blessing we possess today is to honour God.

👌A fulfilled life is one who honours God with all he was given.

👌Don't forget that it is God who gave man power to make wealth......Thus,

Let your children be for honour........
Let your marriage honour God........
Let your business honour God.........
Let your company honour God.....
Let your possession honour God.

Let my life be of great honour to you, grant that any blessing I have lost as a result my carelessness be restored. Amen 🙏
