*Topic: Principle of management*
*Text: Numbers 1: 1-46*๐
*๐Key verse:Numbers 1:2*
*"Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;"*
๐The country conducted its last population census in 2006 and is already 3years behind schedule because globally every country is expected to hold census every 10 years.
๐So ever since the last census, estimates has been used to update the country's growing population.
๐One may ask of what essence is census held.
Well.........its important to know that the most important resource of any society is human capital.
๐So census taking informs decision making at all levels, be it allocating political power, distribution of federal funds, civil Rights enforcement, businesses application, community planning and so on.
๐The Lord spoke to Moses in the New Moon of the 2nd month to hold census, not because He does not know the strength or population of His nation.
๐But because He wanted to engage Moses the leader and His people into taking responsibility to ascertain the military strength of the tribes, and prepare them for the numerous war ahead.
๐This was the reason God demanded that only men from the age of 20 be counted.
Another time He engaged Israel based on their count was during the building of the tabernacle, to task them for contribution towards the tabernacle.
*Ponder on these...*๐♀๐♀
๐The Lord in His wisdom taught Moses how to take stock of the population he was working with to enhance proper management.
You can also apply this principle as a leader in every area of your life.
๐Keep record of God's blessings upon your life, as it will enable appreciate God's kindness towards you.
๐Be responsible, according to the scripture the men from the age of 20 were considered matured and ready to take responsibility.
*Prayer point...*
Wisdom comes from you alone, teach me to live up to your standard.
Help me o Lord to become a better leader.
