*Topic: In the presence of my enemies.*
*Text: Leviticus 26:1-20*
*🔑Key verse: Leviticus 26:6*
*"And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land."*
👉Psalms 23 is a familiar Bible verse taught at the cradle. We run the lines like a sweet melodious lyrics without meditating on their meaning.
But the messages are deep and were written at a period David was surrounded with enemies inside and outside his house.
👉Absalom his son wanted his life by all means, his master Saul terrorized him, he fought all his life yet God saw him through.
👉David wrote with so much confidence because he served a faithful God. He stood firm knowing that the watchman watches in vain if the lord does not watch over the city.
👉Today people claim they have no enemies and I wonder if God was exaggerating when He promised to give us peace in the presence of our enemies.
👉But i put to you that you do have an enemy... Both the known and unknown enemies, spiritual and physical in different forms.
At the work place we create enemies for ourselves through engaging in unhealthy competition among colleagues.
Even family members turn enemies over little case. Of a truth enemies exist everywhere.
*Ponder on these...*
👌God has promised us peace and protection from our enemies only if we will hearken to Him.
👌Be prepared because every stage of life comes with some enemies that must be defeated to keep going.
*Prayer point...*
Strengthen me o God for the battles ahead.
May your peace continually reign in my life even in the presence of my enemies. Amen
*Shalom !*
