*Topic: Faith of the betrothed.*
*Text: Hosea 2:1-22.๐Ÿ“–*
*๐Ÿ”‘Key verse: Hosea 2:19*
*"And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving kindness, and in mercies."*

๐Ÿ‘‰Hosea began his prophetic work during the last years of Jeroboam's reign, which endorsed idolatry. The children of Israel rejected their Husband and sought after another husband and master. This, the lord was not happy so He used Gomer known for sexual promiscuity as a metaphor to illustrate the kind of life Israel resorted to, and how much He desires to redeem them all.

๐Ÿ‘‰However in their unfaithfulness, He promised..."i will even betroth you to me in righteousness forever."

๐Ÿ‘‰According to the Jewish law, shiddukhin (betrothal) is defined as the mutual promise between a man and a woman to contract a marriage at some future time and the formulations of the terms on which it shall take place.

๐Ÿ‘‰The Lord promised to make Israel His, in righteousness, Justice, mercy as the terms on which the contract shall take place.

๐Ÿ‘‰So the faith of the betrothed is everlasting love  and gift of salvation, as long as she does not breach the contract.

   *Ponder on these...*
๐Ÿ‘ŒGod's faithfulness is for ever.

๐Ÿ‘ŒThe language through which God speaks  was the wilderness experience. *(Deuteronomy 8:3, 2:7)*.

When we understand the ways of God, life will become easier.

    *Prayer point...*๐Ÿ™‡‍♀๐Ÿ™‡‍♀
I surrender all to you o God. As a wife should should summit to the husband, I summit to you lord God of my salvation.๐Ÿ™
          *Shalom !*

And the children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.* ๐Ÿ‘‰When people interpret the passages of the Bible concerning the judgement of God, they tend to present it in a way to show that God is wicked and unforgiving because of judgements He introduced to enforce sanctity. ๐Ÿ‘‰And then it is the coming of His son that brought mercy, as if God is no longer merciful. But in all our thinking, we must note that man can not be more merciful or righteous than God. ๐Ÿ‘‰People were asked how a nation would be without constitution, and below were their responses: 1. In the absence of a constitution it will be difficult for a country to sustain itself in a long run. 2.Justice will be denied to the people and a chaotic si...

God spoke to Israel concerning a land they haven't even possessed. Can you imagine? ๐Ÿ‘‰We are familiar with the idea of Sabbaths of days, where the seventh is dedicated to God. But the case of Sabbatical year is not observed today due to some obvious circumstances. ๐Ÿ‘‰Nevertheless, the essence of this command reveals that every thing created by God deserves a rest. And at this rest period, He the creator, restores vital nutrients to the soil depleted by constant use. ๐Ÿ‘‰Now bringing the message home to us............ paraphrasing Leviticus 25:2 would read........... When you get that possession you so much...

Today's message is centered on the duty given to the Kohathites. ๐Ÿ‘‰Of the four main divisions among the Levites as written in the scripture, were.... 1. The Gershonites 2. The Merarites 3. The Aaronites 4. The Kohathites *Who are the Kohathites?* ๐Ÿ‘‰Kohath, was the second son of Levi and grandfather of Moses, Aaron and Miriam *(Numbers 26:58-59).* ๐Ÿ‘‰His brothers were Gershon and Merari *(Genesis 46:11, Exodus 6:16).* ๐Ÿ‘‰They were kept in charge of the most sacred utensils, objects, the Ark, the table, the lamp stand, the altars and screen which they geared on their sho...
